Mike Pence, Westfield, passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2021, at the age of 59 years old.
Mr. Pence was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. As a child, he enjoyed his summers at the family lake cottage. He had a lifelong love of fishing, swimming, hunting and the outdoors.
In high school he played football and other sports for Sheridan High School (Class of 1980). He then went on to play foot ball at the University of Evansville. His friends from college became more like family and he loved sharing stories from his college days.
Mr. Pence became a father in 1991 and a grandfather in 2010. He loved his kids and his grandkids with everything in him. He had many friends and he enjoyed spending time with them regularly. He was always the life of the party.
Survivors include his parents Les and Martha Pence; two brothersm Randy and Terry Pence; a son Ian Pence; a daughter and son-in-law Elyse and Henry Clark; and grandchildren Tori, Gabe and Alex Clark.
Per his wishes, there will be no funeral. Instead, a celebration of life party is planned for Friday, July 9, 2021 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at 28292 Six Points Rd. N, Atlanta, Indiana 46031. He wanted his life celebration to be a party to remember.
Mr. Pence asked for donations to be made to an organization which provides scholarships to college athletes. To honor his wishes, a partnership has been created with the Methodist Sprots Medicine Research and Education Foundation. Donations may be made in his honor at
Mike lived a good life and will be remembered well by all who knew him.
