David Gerald Wooldridge, 59, Lebanon, passed away on April 2, 2021 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on Sept. 13, 1961 in Rush County Indiana to Stephen and Kathryn Wooldridge.
Mr. Wooldridge was a 1979 graduate of Westfield High School. He went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Air Force and retired as a Tech Sergeant in 2004. While he was stationed in England, he met Miriam Jacquline Rachel Keniry and the two of them were married on Sept. 24, 1987 in Gloucestershire, England. They have been at each other's sides for 33 years.
He also knew the importance of an education. He earned his master’s degree at Faulkner University in Montgomery, Ala. and he also attended the Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School in England and received his chef certification. Mr. Wooldridge enjoyed woodworking. He was a Master Craftsmen carpenter in England.
When Mr. Wooldridge returned to Indiana, he became a member at Mt. Carmel Catholic Church and was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. He will be greatly missed by his loving family.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Miriam; son, Devon Wooldridge; grandson, Beau Scott Wooldridge; parents, Stephen and Kathryn Lee (Steffey) Wooldridge; siblings, Stephen (Jodi) Wooldridge and Jennifer (Greg) Homola; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marion Ray and Roberta Steffey; and grandmother, Mary Stout.
A graveside service is scheduled for Saturday, April 24 at 1 p.m. at Hamilton Memorial Park, 4180 Westfield Rd. in Westfield.
