Anna "Annie" Victoria Light, 19, of Sheridan; passed away on April 29, 2021.
She was born on Aug. 13, 2001 to Ryan Light and Shannon (Simpkins) Light in Poway, Calif.
She graduated from Sheridan High School, Class of 2020. She worked at Majestic Care in Sheridan as a dietary aide.
Ms. Light wanted to work with animals, and was in the process of choosing a career path in animal care. She was a very talented visual and physical artist and would spend hours creating art. She would also make videos and sing. Her family said she had such a beautiful voice.
She was known for her love for animals. Ms. Light took care of a pair of hedgehogs, bearded dragons, loved her dogs, and her mom's cat, but she especially loved her cat Alastor.
She and her sister Sabrina were inseparable, and the two of them would spend time together hanging out and helping each other with whatever they each needed. Ms. Light was a kind soul who would help anyone and was known as slightly eccentric; and will be greatly missed by her family.
Survivors include her loving mother Shannon Light of Sheridan; her devoted sister Sabrina Light of Sheridan; maternal grandparents, Len (Jan) Simpkins of Bellaire, Mich. and Deb (Leo) Jarc of Harvard, Ill.; her father Ryan Light; and paternal grandparents Douglas (Laurel) Light of Pittsburgh.
A celebration of life ceremony is scheduled for Saturday May 8, 2021 at North Fields Church, located at 1478 State Road 38 in Sheridan from noon to 2 p.m.
