Two powerhouses came into last week’s game sporting 4-1 records. After Sheridan and Seeger battled to a two-score difference, Seeger left with a 5-1 mark and Sheridan fell to 4-2.
Owen Snedeker threw for 252 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Patriots to a 28-14 victory.
Cameron Hovey rushed for a 1-yard touchdown that brought Sheridan within 21-6 in the fourth quarter. Hovey had a season low of 55 yards on 19 carries.
Jalen Herron scored the game’s final touchdown on a 26-yard run. Silas DeVaney tacked on two points with his pass to Keenan Warren.
Sheridan gets back into Hoosier Heartland Conference play at 7 p.m. Friday against Eastern. The Comets are undefeated at 7-0 and 5-0 in conference play. They are also ranked ninth in the state in Class 2A while the Blackhawks slipped to 12th in Class A.
